    Novak Djokovic, the world No. 1 tennis player, made his long-awaited comeback to the US courts on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. He faced Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, the rising star from Spain, in the second round of the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati.      The match was expected to be a tough test for Djokovic, who had not played a singles match in the US since he lost the 2021 US Open final to Daniil Medvedev. Transgender swimmers get a chance to compete in a new category at World Cup event

     A new category for transgender athletes will be launched by World Aquatics, the global body that governs aquatic sports such as swimming, diving, and water polo, at a World Cup swimming event in Berlin, Germany, later this year.     The new category will be open to “all sex and gender identities” and will have 50m and 100m races in all strokes. The event will take place from October 6 to 8 and is part of World Aquatics’ “innovative pilot project” to gain more insight and celebrate diversity in the sport. “ This is a historic milestone for World Aquatics and for the whole aquatic community ,” said World Aquatics President Julio C.
